Student’s Story: Nico, Global Launch Student from Arizona State University

Nico is now a student at Arizona State University. He was a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) student. After successfully completing his studies in Malaysia, he was accepted by Arizona State University to kick start his bachelor’s degree pathway in the United States.

What is your name, nationality, and program that you are enrolled in?

My name is Nico. I’m a Malaysian and also currently a Global Launch student at Arizona State University. 

Why did you choose Arizona State University specifically amongst other schools?

ASU’s reputation as the “#1 in innovation” was a major draw for me, as I wanted to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking academic community. I am a sports lover. The university’s strong focus on sports and its vibrant campus life created an exciting and engaging environment for students.

ASU’s exceptional sports facilities and overall sports culture provided me with opportunities to both participate in and enjoy a variety of athletic activities. Moreover, the people at ASU, including both students and faculty, were incredibly welcoming and diverse, creating a rich and inclusive cultural atmosphere that I truly enjoyed.

What is the best thing about Arizona State University that you love the most?

Everything! The people, the campus, and all. Let’s go devils! 😈🔱

How is it living in the city of your school?

Living in ASU is super chill. The easygoing vibes, great weather, and diverse crowd make it an awesome spot for studying and having a good time. It’s a place to call home during my college years.

What would you tell other students considering UG Overseas Education?

UG Overseas Education provides guidance from university application and admission to visa arrangements. They are efficient and they would be able to help you to save a lot of unnecessary time. Highly recommended for students who are planning to study abroad in the United States.
